| Economic Development Incentive Program | The City of Westfield and State of Massachusetts offers the Economic Development Incentive Program (EDIP) which is a tax incentive program in which eligible companies may receive state and local tax incentives in exchange for job creation and private investment commitments.
For qualified and approved projects the City Of Westfield offers Tax Incentive Financing Plan (TIF), a 50% tax reduction on the "value added" to the property for a term of up to five years. For larger projects which create a large number of jobs the city may extend that reduction for up to 10 years.
In addition, for qualified and approved, projects the state may offer an Investment Tax Credit of up to %5 for five years.
