The office is located on the lower (basement) level of City Hall. To find the office, descend the ramp off of the parking lot at the forward end of the building. Once in the building, the office will be the first door on the left (Room B11).
The Westfield Department of Veterans Services is responsible for assisting Veterans residing in Westfield, Russell, and Chester. We assist with veterans issue on the Local, State and Federal Levels

| The Westfield Department of Veterans' Services houses all discharges that have been registered with this office, as well as any other documents that have been provided to the Department. These files are available to Veterans upon request. |
| We also have WEB access to the Massachusetts Military Archives, and can download copies of the Military Discharges of Veterans who were enlisted from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, provided that the discharges are in the archives. |
| If we are unable to locate a veteran's discharge in the office or in the MA Military Archives, we can assist veterans with applications to receive copies of their discharge through Federal Agencies. We can also assist with applications for awards and decorations. |
| The Westfield Department of Veterans' Services also will assist with applications for enrollment to receive Medical Assistance from the Federal Department of Veterans Affairs. To become familiar with a wide variety of benefits offered by this Federal Agency you can logon to WWW.VA.GOV and browse their WEB Sites. |
| The Federal Department of Veterans Affairs also provides certain benefits to veterans upon their death. We can help with applications for Burial Benefits, Grave Markers, and Headstones. |
| The Westfield Department of Veterans' Services also assists veterans in applying for benefits provided under Chapter 115 of the Massachusetts General Laws. Veterans who meet eligibility standards may qualify for benefits. Eligibility is based on Character of Service, Income Level, and Asset Level.
