The City of Westfield offers competitive benefits to its full-time, permanent employees. For specific information, check applicable collective bargaining agreements or individual personal service contracts. These benefits are available on a tax-deferred basis to participating employees.

Health Insurance
The City of Westfield offers Health Insurance plans to employees and retirees through Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Massachusetts and Health New England. For more detailed information, stop by the Personnel Department during our office hours. Flexible Spending Accounts
The City of Westfield offers flexible spending accounts (FSA's) for medical and dependent care to their eligible employees for benefits. FSA's gives you the opportunity to put aside, thru-out the year, pre-tax monies, amount you decide to use for medical, dental, vision, dependent care needs, etc. The maximum one can set aside is $2,400.00. Dental Insurance
Open Enrollment time is May 5, 2008 through May 20, 2008

Delta Dental
The City of Westfield offers a voluntary dental plan through Delta Dental for employees. There are two options that are offered, a Base and a High. The Base Option for individuals is $31.34 per month, and for the family plan it is $82.26 per month. The High Option for individuals is $39.74 per month, and for the family plan it is $104.31 per month. Click here to link to the Delta Dental website for a list of participating dentists.

Check Delta Premier and underneath write your choice of the Base Option or the High Option.

Life Insurance
The City provides an group term life insurance policy of $5,000 through Boston Mutual Life Insurance Company. Additional term insurance is also optional through payroll deduction. Current premium rates are $3.42 per month for the group plan for basic term.

Deferred Compensation Plan
The City also offers a deferred compensation plan through The Hartford with several options to choose from, with enrollment to optional voluntary plans available annually only. These benefits are tax deferred up to certain participation limits. For more information, please see Hilda Colon in the Personnel Office.
