IN HOUSE HEALTH SERVICES

FOOTCARE CLINIC
The Footcare nurse is available on the 2nd Wednesday of every month to provide foot care services for seniors at the center. Please call the Council on Aging at 562-6435 to make an appointment for these services.

SENIOR WELLNESS PROGRAM
A Senior Wellness Program takes place at the Senior Center. Brenda Peretti, R.N., will be available every Wednesday from 9am to 1pm and the First and Second Friday of every month. Services include health care screening , monitor ongoing health problems, blood glucose testing, blood pressure checks and medication questions and/or concerns. Funding for this position is made possible through a state grant from the Executive Office of Elder Affairs. No appointments are needed.

There will be no Wellness Program on November 12, 14, and 19

UNDERSTANDING THE LANGUAGE OF MEDICINE
Are you familiar with medical terminology such as atherosclerosis, atrial fibrillation, myocardial infarction, and cerebral vascular accident? Do you ever wonder if you and your physician are even speaking the same language? You're invited to our monthly educational series entitled "Understanding the Language of Medicine." Each month, a different health-related topic will be explained in easy-to-understand language. Handouts with basic information will be provided and you'll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
