| Parks & Recreation Spring/Summer Jobs | Seeking applicants to fill several spring and summer skilled positions.
Adult Softball Supervisors Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Supervising men and women's adult softball league. Previous experience preferred. Hourly rate of $13. Nights and weekends possible. April-September. Flexible schedule.
Baseball Supervisor Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Supervising children in baseball and t-ball program. Previous experience working with children and thorough knowledge of baseball and t-ball preferred. Hourly rate of $11. Nights and weekends. April-June. Flexible schedule.
Basketball Specialist Applicants must be 21 years of age or older. Supervising and teaching children in the sport of basketball. Previous experience working with children and thorough knowledge of basketball preferred.
Youth Sports Instructor Applicants must be 18 years or age or older. The youth sports instructor teaches various sports programs to children ages 3-12. Previous experience working with children and thorough knowledge of teaching various sports preferred.
Playground Director Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and hold a current CPR and First Aid Certificate. Director oversees the daily operation of the playground program at a designated city playground. Duties include teaching and supervising children 6-13 years of age in arts and crafts, games, sports and special events. Previous experience in a recreational setting or day camp leadership. 4 positions anticipated. Mon-Fri 25 hrs/wk. July 1-August 6
Playground Leader Applicants must be 16 years of age or older and hold a current CPR and First Aid Certificate. Duties include teaching and supervising children 6-13 years of age in arts and crafts, games, sports, special events and environmental education. Previous experience working with children preferred. 10-15 positions anticipated. Mon-Fri 20-25 hrs/wk. July 1-August 6
Day Camp Director Applicants must be 20 years of age or older and hold a current CPR and First Aid Certificate. Director oversees the daily operation of the day camp program. Previous experience supervising staff and children in a recreation setting or previous day camp leadership preferred. Duties include teaching and supervising children 6-12 years of age in arts and crafts, games, sports, special events and environmental education. 2 positions anticipated. Mon-Fri 35-40 hrs/wk. June 21-August 13
Day Camp Leaders Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and hold a current CPR and First Aid Certificate. Duties include teaching and supervising children 6-12 years of age in arts and crafts, games, sports, special events and environmental education. Previous experience working with children preferred. 6-8 positions anticipated. Mon-Fri 35-40 hours/wk. June 21-August 13
Playground and Day Camp positions must have valid CPR and First Aid Certification attached to application.
All positions are subject to funding. Due to the large volume of applications received, not all certified applicants will receive an interview.

| ASSISTANT CITY SOLICITOR

The City of Westfield Law Department seeks a qualified attorney for the position of Assistant City Solicitor. Under the general direction of the First Assistant City Solicitor, the successful candidate will be responsible for varied professional legal work such as the drafting of legal documents, advising municipal appointed and elected officials, and representing the City’s interests in a variety of legal forums.
Applicants must be licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and be eligible to practice in Federal Court. Municipal law experience and knowledge of real property and real estate transactions preferred. Availability and attendance at evening meetings will be required, as needed. Salary for the 35 hour/wk. position is $44,800 to $61,400 dependent upon experience. The City offers an excellent benefits package to its employees.

| PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE

The City of Westfield Health Department is seeking applicants for a Public Health Nurse (R.N.). Reporting to the Supervisor of Public Health Nursing, the successful candidate will be responsible for case management of communicable diseases, planning regarding prevention and treatment programs and providing guidance to other nurses regarding community health issues.
35 hours/week at an hourly rate of $25.52. Excellent benefits offered.
Must hold a current Massachusetts RN certification and CPR certification. A minimum of graduation from an accredited Registered Nursing program and 6 months experience in the public health nursing field required. BSN and 2 years additional nursing experience preferred.
