Access to Military Discharges and Other Archived Information
Veteran's Services houses all discharges that have been registered with this office, as well any other documents that have been provided to the department. These files are available to veterans upon request.
The department has web access to the Massachusetts Military Archives, and can download copies of the military discharges of veterans who were enlisted from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, provided that the discharges are in the archives.
If we are unable to locate a veteran's discharge in the office or in the MA Military Archives, we can assist veterans with applications to receive copies of their discharge through federal agencies. We can also assist with requests for military medical records, as well as for requests for military awards and decorations data.
The office is located on the first floor of the Westfield Senior Center at 45 Noble Street. To find the office, enter through the main entrance, proceed past the reception desk area, and bare right down the east hallway. We are in Room 114 on the left side of the hallway.
