Effective January 5, 2015 the City implemented the single stream recycling program. This new program is beneficial to our community both financially and environmentally. Together we can reduce trash hauling costs and increase recycling tonnages for our City.
We are working out a date to do a City wide bulk pickup later in the year after the new budget is accepted. Residents with a valid dump pass may dispose of bulk items at the Twiss Street transfer station. Disposal of some items may require the purchase of a sticker which are available at either Big Y location or at the City of Westfield Health Department, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., located at 59 Court Street.
Bagged trash of any kind
Construction & demolition materials
Scrap wood, pressure treated wood, wood fencing, hazardous waste, batteries, paints, oil, gas, or liquids of any kind
Bulk pickup is for residential properties only and does not include businesses, condominiums, apartment complexes, or mobile homes. If you are unsure whether or not an item is acceptable, please ask and we will be happy to assist. Please call 413-572-6226.
