City Soliciting 2021 Projects to Assist Low and Moderate Income Neighborhoods & Households
The Office of Community Development and Planning will conduct two public hearings on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at 11:00 am and 6:00 pm to discuss community development needs and priorities for U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funds for the Second Year Action Plan Fiscal Year 2021.
The hearings will be held virtually in compliance with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Open Meeting Law and the provisions of the City of Westfield’s Citizen Participation Plan.
The City of Westfield Office of Community Development and Planning will utilize the information from the public hearing to make funding decisions for the federal Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG). Applications for the funding under this program are available at the Office of Community Development and Planning, City Hall, 3rd floor, during normal business hours.
Eligible activity categories include Public Services, Public Facilities, Housing, Public Infrastructure, and Economic Development.
Agencies and organizations seeking CDBG funding for activities must call or email the Office of Community Development to request instructions and an application.

All CDBG applications are due by Friday, March 12, 2021 at 4:00 pm.
FFY 2021 funding will be for activities undertaken from July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022. The City of Westfield CDBG Allocations have not yet been determined by HUD, but the City anticipates a CDBG allocation of $350,000.Press Release
