[ARCHIVED] Officer Jose Torres Celebration of Life and Fund Raiser

On Thursday, July 28, 2022, from 6 to 10 pm at the Skyline Beer Company, 98 Southwick Road, The Ride to Remember and the Westfield Police Department will host a fund raiser and celebration of life in honor of fallen Westfield Police Officer Jose Torres.  2022 marks both the 10 year anniversary for the Ride to Remember as well as the End of Watch for Officer Torres.  Along with food, raffles, and the band “General Gist”, you will be able to sign up for this year’s Ride to Remember.

On Saturday September 3, 2022 the Springfield “Ride-to-Remember” will be welcoming all bicycle riders to join members of the Law Enforcement, Firefighter, Corrections Officer and EMT community for the Tenth Annual Ride-To-Remember charity bicycle ride.  This year the ride will be 50 miles around Western Massachusetts.

The Primary Purpose for the R2R is to bring awareness to all the fallen police officers and firefighters in the State of Massachusetts.

The secondary purpose for the R2R is raising money for both the firefighter and police officer memorials along with Christina’s House (a homeless shelter for women with children in Springfield), On-Site Academy for Police Officers and Firefighters with Post Traumatic Stress and other local charities.
