Please join Mayor McCabe at the 29th Annual Easter Egg Hunt, to be held on Saturday April 1st at the fields next to Westfield High School. The hunt will begin promptly at 9:30 AM for children ages 1-10 to collect plastic eggs filled with small toys or candy in an area designated for their age group. Participants must bring their own container for their collected eggs.
Families are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items which will be donated to the Westfield Food Pantry. After the hunt, children are welcome to play field games and have their face painted, or share a moment with some of our community’s more colorful characters, including Sparky the Fire Dog, Stanley Starfire, and more.
This event represents a return to an in-person celebration for the city’s children, after a few years of providing a “drive through” experience. “We had a great turnout for last year’s event that offered a new spin on the classic Egg Hunt to fit the unique circumstances, and I am grateful to all the sponsors and volunteers who are helping us return to the traditional format this year.” said Mayor McCabe, “We are going all in, rain or shine!”
