Landlords and property managers don’t miss the free monthly meeting of the Westfield Crime Free Multi Housing Group Thursday, April 20, 2017, 6:00 pm, at Shaker Farms Country Club, 866 Shaker Road, Westfield.
Started by the Westfield Police Department, this organization has been active for over ten years and was created to educate landlords and property managers on issues pertinent to owning, renting and managing residential properties. Whether you own one property or many, have been doing this for years or are just purchasing your first property, this group offers free education and information to help protect you and get the best possible tenants for your investment.
This month’s meeting will showcase regular monthly speakers Attorney Stanley Komack, whose practice concentrates in Real Estate and Landlord/Tenant matters. Members of the Westfield Police Department will also be on hand for questions. Our special guest speaker this month is David Burgess. Mr. Burgess is the president of Emerald Lead Testing. He has been a Massachusetts licensed lead inspector and risk assessor since 1990. He is authorized by the Massachusetts Department of Public health, CLLLP to conduct Moderate Risk Deleading Programs. He founded a lead inspection company where he focuses on helping property owners understand their risks and responsibilities regarding lead while ensuring compliance with lead law.
From 6:00 to 6:30pm is a social half hour, from 6:30 to 7:00 pm is an optional, RSVP buffet dinner at a cost of $19.00 per person, and at 7:00 pm, the informational portion of the program will begin.
