[ARCHIVED] Westfield Police Department Promotes Five


Five members of the Westfield Police Department were promoted last night by the Westfield Police Commission.  Vacancies were created at the level of captain, lieutenant, and sergeant when Captain Hipolito Nunez retired after a long and successful career.  An additional lieutenant and sergeant vacancy are anticipated in July of 2017 when another Lieutenant is scheduled to retire.  On Monday, May 1, 2017, Lawrence Valliere was promoted to captain, Eric Hall was promoted to lieutenant, and John Parrish was promoted to sergeant, all effective on Monday, May 8, 2017.  In anticipation of the pending retirement in July, Kevin Bard was promoted to lieutenant and Douglas LaValley was promoted to sergeant effective July 8, 2017.  Congratulations and good luck to all those promoted.
