The Westfield Police Department participated in the Westfield Chamber of Commerce WE2BA High School Career Fair which took place at the Westfield State University Woodward Center on April 11.
Over 400 students from the Westfield Technical Academy and Westfield High School attended this career fair which had approximately 75 vendors. Among those vendors was the Westfield Police Department. Students had many questions including what type of work and opportunities there are in policing, what the hours are, how much the salaries are and how to go about getting a job in Law Enforcement. Many students walked away with a better understanding of what is involved with becoming a police officer, whether it is here in Westfield or in another community.
