[ARCHIVED] Fire Department Open House

The Westfield Fire Department will host an Open House on Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 3 PM at Little River Fire Station #2 located at  366 Little River Road. This event provides a unique opportunity to not only meet and greet fire personnel, but also get an up close look at the newly renovated station.

Mayor Sullivan will be on hand to cut the ribbon at 10:30 AM. Light refreshments will be served.

To showcase the Fire Department’s equipment and capabilities, there will be several demonstrations and hands-on activities. Scenarios will be staged including a demonstration of a vehicle extrication and a side by side live burn of a living room to see how fast a fire spreads and the advantage of having working smoke detectors and sprinklers.

There will be several displays of fire equipment and vehicles, including the SAFE Trailer and a Hazardous Materials Decontamination tent. Children can learn the fundamentals of fire safety at the Fire Safety Trailer.

Public is invited and Admission is free.
