Sealed Bids for the General Contract for the City of Westfield Middle School Chiller Project will be received by the City of Westfield at City of Westfield, Purchasing Department, 59 Court Street, Westfield, Massachusetts 01085 until 2:00 PM, prevailing time, April 14, 2026, and at that time and place will then be publicly opened and read aloud at City Hall. Exact room number is to be determined. Sealed Bids must have outer envelope marked as “City of Westfield Middle School Project, Bid No. 26-033.”


The Project consists of but not limited to the following: removal of obsolete cooler and refrigerator units within the school. The project also includes constructing new walls, ceilings and flooring within the former coolers and freezers.


Drawings and Specifications will be available for viewing at the office of the Purchasing Director, 59 Court Street, Westfield, Massachusetts on March 25, 2026.

Qualifications:
Wage rates for this Project are subject to minimum wage rates as per M.G.L., Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H inclusive.
The bidding and award of the Contract shall be in full compliance with Chapter 149, Sections 44A-44J of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as last revised.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in their best interest.

Miscellaneous:
A voluntary pre-bid meeting will be held at 3:30 PM, on April 1, 2026 at the Westfield Middle School. All bidders are required to meet and sign in at the main office. Questions will be due by 4/7/2026.
